0.5 litre water
350g sugar
2 tablespoons sumac
3 limes, juice
3/4 bunch of fresh mint, lightly squashed
ice cubes
1 lime, sliced
1/4 bunch of fresh mint

Boil up water, sugar, sumac and lime juice. Pour over 3/4 of the fresh mint and allow to brew for 10 minutes.
Pour through a sieve and fill syrup into a bottle.
Put syrup, ice cubes, lime slices and mint in glasses. Fill up with mineral water and sprinkle with a pinch of sumac.
Sumac is a powder made of the red berries of the sumac bush. It's popular in the middle east.
